Our geniune Antigua Type Las Capuchinas brand represents the world renown Antigua Guatemala coffee. It`s a blend of different Antigua region coffees, where some of the world`s greatest coffees are found.

Volcanic origin:
Having three volcanos in the nearby vicinity of Antigua gives these plantations soil of volcanic origin. It is very rich in minerals and nutrients, which gives the Antigua coffee its very unique quality. The coffee is carefully hand picked and selected when ripe and taken to the coffee mill located in the outskirts of Antigua.

A piece of history:
Antigua Guatemala was the capital of the country, until the 1776 earthquake left it damaged. The legend says the small city was flooded by the water that had been collecting itself in the former crater of the 'Volcan de Agua'. That`s where the name of the volcano comes from: Water - Volkano.
