Casa Ruiz
Casa Ruiz S.A. was founded in 1979 as a family business. His founder, Plinio A.Ruiz, was born in the year 1922 in Boquete, as a 2nd generation coffee farmer. His mother had already been brought up in a coffee plantation in the late 1900`s. So it happened, that Pinio grew up amongst coffee trees and a small preparation mill. He went to school the first six school years and was lucky enough to visit a Bible-seminar in Guatemala later on, which he had to leave because of financial difficulties after only one year. He went back to Boquete and started working in his parents farm, finally taking over the business and taking on a religious office.

The plantations in the Boquete Region are located in the highlands. The earth consists mainly of sandy clay, which is rich with minerals. The high humidity in the plateau`s forests is ideal for the coffee plants.

The Panama Boquete coffee is hand picked, washed and finally dried, depending on the weather, in the sun or in the dryer.
