In Kenya there are two harvest seasons. The main harvest takes place between April and November (60% of the total harvest). The second harvest takes place from December to July, and reached 40% of the total volume. Exporters do not buy as usual the coffee from cooperatives or plantations directly, they buy it at auctions.
