Indonesia ELB Blue Tawar

This coffee is named after the nearby lake Laut Tawar. The lake is large and blue, just like the coffee beans coming from that region.

A big reason for its excellent qualities is the reliability of the enviromental conditions with steady dry and rainy seasons. These farms are able to use the natural, rich, volcanic soils in the whole region of Aceh.

Since 1999 more than 50 farmers have been passionate about producing this wonderful coffee.

The excellent coffee coming from this area is usually sold as a speciality coffee and this comes as a gratification to the farmers. It is a small improvement to their life and wellbeing and helps them saving money for further sustainable projects.
