Cooperativa Guaxupe
This coffee is grown south of Minas. Vegetation, soil, climate and water are optimal for this farm to operate as a sustainability managed coffee plantation.
Process : The warm climate allows natural preparation. The cherries dry in the sun until a residual moisture content of % 12 is left. Due to this natural preparation the coffee gets a special flavor.
The Guaxupe is the biggest private Cooperative in the world and has approximately 12,000 members in Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. Its good networking allows the Cooperative to store up to 5 million bags for exporting per harvest. Guaxupe recognized early the importance of fine Arabica coffees and therefore established its own specialty department. Socially, it supports the farmers financial resources. Through agricultural assistance programs, such as soil analysis and training, it supports production and environmental maintenance.
